I Can, I Will, I Am

I read this today…. When you’re actively engaged in doing something, the motivation to keep doing it sneaks up and zaps you when you least expect it.   How true is that! I hear all the time, “I just can’t get myself motivated to lose weight, test my blood sugar, and change what I eat….. Motivation isn’t going to come up and slap you upside the head. You just need some courage to take the first step. Then you need to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Before long, 21 days will have passed and voila you’ve changed. It doesn’t mean you’re going to love eating right or love exercise at first but I bet you will love how it makes you feel inside and the results (increased energy, lost weight and inches).

Just do it

So by this time many of those New Year’s resolutions may have fallen away.  Here’s the challenge I have for you. Start over! I don’t care how many times you have to pick yourself back up. Start over!  You didn’t give up learning to walk the first time or 20th time you fell down. Same goes for learning to live a healthier life.  Better yet, let me help you. You’ll get the accountability and support you need to make it successfully through 30 days and beyond.

I’m a working, busy, recovering carbo-holic mom so I know what it takes to make this change.  Was it hard? Yes, in some ways.  More mental than anything and I have to keep getting up, dusting myself off and putting a stake in the ground.  A year has gone by and I am 55 lbs smaller/Size 18 to a size 10. Now for some of you a size 10 would put you in a state of serious depression but sista I’m happy with my progress.

The key is I didn’t do it alone. I had the support of a bunch of other people who are on the same journey. From them I gained and still gain inspiration, courage, knowledge, and accountability.  Did you know you are 90% more likely to succeed at something when you tell somewhat what it is you want to do?! There’s magic in being accountable.

Dennis Waitley says that the winners in life think constantly in terms of I can, I will, and I am. That sounds like a group of people I want to be among.   What about you? Are you ready to pay the price? If so, let’s talk!
